2x shots of the Autoexe "sports induction box" fitted to my NC.

It essentially removes the front half of the restrictive air-box and replaces with a K&N oiled flat panel filter. The front cold air snorkel is retained. It leaves a resonant area which is sealed off with some metal plates. I'll hear it roar tomorrow. In short it's a clever design that accepts cold air and is unrestricted.
I know the love for CAI's on the NC and tube piping being optimal for performance, but I'm happy to be different and give it a whirl. Two points going for it; one, unlike previous MX5's the intake is nowhere near the exhaust, two it literally faces the incoming air.

Not cheap either for what it is, but hey, you only live once (or is that twice....??)

Interesting, looks like those ARC type unit...Im not sure how it could be better if its still sucking hot air.

Ive seen a cobalt cold air snorkle that attach to the OEM box, I reckon thats the way to go if yo dont want to spend mega bucks.
