search certainly is your friend! :D

get as much of the NB8A engine & peripherals as you can depending on circumstances, but you shouldn't need it all.

1.8l engine swap

I just finished putting the 99 NB 1.8 into my NA8. I used my same valve cover, alternator, CAS (now on back of engine), coil packs, all oil/water sensors and throttle body. Definately one of the easiest engine swaps ive done. Although the NB motor has VICS which is just 4 butterflys that open up some shorter runners at a higher rpm (usualy about 4500) to get some more top end power. The NA8 ecu does not have a function to control this but there is a few things that can such as an RPM switch usually found at jaycar or something. Puts out a 12v output at a set rpm to one pin on the vics and the other pin would just go to ground. I was talking to Dave at mania and he said he usually just disables them on hes track cars. But apart from that, thats pretty much it.
Overkill is an understatement.
