I'm getting my torsen installed tomrrow. Just wondering if there is any special oil to put in there? Or just the STD LSD will do?

It's standard gear oil. No friction modifiers needed like in a clutch pack diff. It'll be the same oil you run in an open diff which is 75/90 from memory.

I'm just running Castrol gear oil in mine.
How often should I be changing it?

Just use the same oil as recommended for the open diff and change it at the same intervals.

Well anyways since the question has been answered, I will hijack it.
Which torsen/ratio would you guys recommend for nb8a standard 5 speed?

Might as well put my question here then...How do you confirm you have an LSD? Peer in during a diff oil change?

Park one rear wheel on grass/dirt/loose surface and the other on clean bitumen.
Rev her up, dump the clutch;
- if the wheel that is on the loose surface continues to spin, then you have an open.
- " " " " " " " " " stops spinning within a split second and the wheel on bitumen gets more drive (may start spinning also) then you have LSD.

Jacking the rear of the car and rotating one wheel...If the opposite rotates same direction you 'may' have an LSD.
Does this work with the Torsen?

The tests above won't necessarily work on a Torsen diff because, if one wheel loses traction, it will behave the same as an open diff.
