I know SE owners are having success with these Haltech Interceptors, but do you know if they work well on a naturally aspirated car (stock ECU) with an aftermarket turbo or supercharger fitted?

It looks as though the Interceptor just fiddles with the AFM/MAF signal to change the load (for more/less fuel), so I wouldn't know what the ECU would think of 150% load for example if it isn't designed for boost.

Both the Jackson Racing and Flyin' Miata piggybacks manipulate the injectors directly, so this doesn't give me any reassurance.

Any success stories? The car is an NB8A.

These sorts of devices are meant for factory FI'd cars, as you rightly point out it cannot control an injector directly. That said, if you dropped in bigger injectors and were able to reduce the airflow in the idle cruise areas it may work, that's how BEGi use the Xede. I think it's a bad solution as there's a lot of tuning and adjusting airflow will also change ignition timing in the stock ECU. Stick with an E-Manage et al.

I dont believe that is an accurate description, the interceptor adds demand pulse width to the injector which allows you to increase or reduce fuel; according to load reference, fuel correction and rpm in the fuel map.

It does not fully control injector hence there is an with running huge oversize injectors on the SE. Your best bet would be find a haltech tuner up your way and see if it will do the things you want it to do for your application.
