Alright I'm thinking about putting a full NA8 exhaust setup in an NB8A

Now I need to know what the layout consist of..

For NB8a: Headers- Flange- Cat+midpipe- Flange - Muffler

For the Na8 is it...???
Headers- Flange- Cat- Flange- Midpipe- Flange- Muffler?

Or alternatively if someone has a photo of a stock NA8 exhaust system.

Due to tripping over it every day for the past year or so in my garage... iirc it is
extractors => cat => midpipe => rest of system including resonator and muffler
So yes I think you're right... I'd take a photo for you but it's currently hiding behind some washing machines...

Umm I'm not going full stock exhaust, I'm using aftermarket NA exhaust parts, ie/ NA Headers + NA catback + stock cat (maybe).

Reason for this is, that it's much easier to find JDM NA bolt on exhaust.

JDM manufacturer's don't make NB catbacks, due to the fact that the Cat is connected with the midpipe.

IIRC that image is correct, but it doesn't look like it's to scale. the OEM tip/muffler/midpipe is one piece from the factory and bolts to the cat as pictured.

i recall reading about someone on here with NA8 headers on an NB - they said that a small adjustment is required to clear the gearbox. you will probably need to change the position of the exhaust hangars as well.

if you are buying a new setup, have you considered going custom after a set of NB headers?

I've put an NB cat-back system on an NA8. It was a bloody nightmare. There are detail differences everywhere - absolutely nothing lines up, all the hangers are wrong. All I effectively had was a muffler with a whole lot of throwaway piping. I'd assume you'd have the same problems going the other way

Interesting, this may deter me away if that's the case.
