Lightened Flywheel from the former 'Just MX5'
Does anyone have any info on a batch of lightened flywheels for the BP engine Just MX5 of Kirrawee (NSW) had made up some time ago. The flywheel weighs about 5.5kg, has no markings on it, & had the ring gear heat shrunk onto it. I'm familiar with Just MX5 having visited them on a trip to Sydney some years ago, & also understand that they no longer trade. Please post or PM any info you have - primarily I'd like to know who made the flywheels, if anyone has used or is using them, & if so how they performed.

I believe that Just MX5 of Kirrawee has morphed into JustJap of Kirrawee.

Just Jap advised that all the staff from the Just MX5 days have moved on & that the Director doesn't recall the Flywheels.
Looks to be a quality item - just curious about its origin. The person I bought it from originally bought it from Just MX5, but didn't get around to fitting it. He was told it was from a secret source...
Anyone out there know anything about them?

For a 1.8, but guess it could be used on 1.6, as I believe the reverse is possible - although might not be as lightweight as most 1.6 lightweight flywheels.

Yeah just need the clutch to match, should be less pedal effor and more clamping force.
Still should be lighter than stock 1.6 flywheel.
I'll take pics of mine soon, its a ~4 kg flywheel with lots of speed holes.
It came wrapped in some plastic and its oily I assume its there like how they ship rotors so they are clean and rust free (its not aluminum).

It feels quite heavy maybe its closer to 5 kg I will weigh it properly later.

Back of the flywheel can see lots of speed holes around the edge of the flywheel for reduced moment of inertia.

All the little holes line up to the pink thing should be good.

Wow - shiney & lots of speed holes - looks great! Reckon yours would have to be about 4kg as mines about 5.5kg.
