Can someone tell me how many turns out the " Idle adjust screw" is set to on a standard NA8?
I have a aftermarket ECU and would like to setup the air screw to use the same (standard) adjustment range.

Various pubs just talk about turning the screw to get 850rpm +/-50rpm idle with the GRN & TEN jumpered in the engine bay diagnostic box. However, from when I partially dismantled & cleaned the TB on my NA8, the screw was around one turn anticlockwise from full clockwise, so screw it all the way in & back-off one turn as a starting point to fine tune idle. From memory, I've read idle is usually found between one & one & a half turns, but mine was less than one turn. <www.miata.net> might be able to shed more light.

Thank you that’s all I need. I'll adjust mine to one turn then use the Idle adjust in the ecu to bring my idle up to 850-900rpm, this is so the PWM signal is of a similar rate to the standard ecu. :?: Clear as mud I think  sorry.
