car feels loads better.. the younger motor has loads more power though i cant say how much is due to the motor and how much is due to the fewer belts dragging/sapping the power away. steering is a little heavy with the manual rack for car parks but i love it on the track, best mod to date. last time at wakefield i managed to get down into the 1.11's and feel theres still better lap times to be had.

AC is gone oh PS is gone!

The 2nd fan is for AC only it can go its on a metal frame so its heavy.

Exhaust looks large and heavy.

thinking of wiring the fan into the other. but as someone pointed out to me recently the fans only really do anything when your stationary... so maybe i should just get rid of it :|

the exhaust is a fairly thin walled stainless so shouldnt be too heavy.. as much as id like to run with NO exhaust its just not going to happen.. :(

Ohh I want to remove AC but probably keep PS...

Did you have to de-gass it or you just start taking it apart?

Estimated weight savings??

If you were at all serious you would now shave off the front (PS/AC) pulley.

And ditch that big front sway bar...

Couldn't you have at least centred the exhaust properly in the middle of the car?

11's? Mark & Phil must be kicking themselves if you're pulling 11's consistently!

Looking forward to the next track meet to see these times for myself (plus possibly experience them for myself during lunch time to learn some lines & braking points etc 8) )

Assuming you're talking about the pulley then yes, the old JRSC kit did that (however it turned the SC as well as the PS and AC. Trouble is it's only a 4-rib belt pulley, which doesn't provide enough grip for the power the SC needs, unless you really overtension it. Much better to put a 6-rib pulley on the front.

Some Mazda designers also mounted an Eaton SC where the PS pump normally mounts - prototype only.

Roger Trethewey has an SC13 mounted down there on his track car.
