not that i know of, that is a one off custom piece which i think the owner made himself.

closest would have to be the tuckin 99 headers i think, but there is no spaghetti involved with it.

what benefits does that sort of st up offer? it doesn't look like equal lengths to me so i'm a bit confused why he has done that.

yes, however, you have assumed the metal has been made out of the same composite as the existing metal, have you not?

I've seen Brian Ferabee's (spelling) race car up close [which is one of the fastest naturally-aspirated race cars in Aus], which has similar-looking header design, and talked to Gary Stewart, who designed them, and Gary said it is one of the tricks to making a high-revving, 150rwhp+ race engine in naturally aspirated form.
Even though the car has ITB's, high compression and aggressive fuel/ignition maps, it is still very driveable for regular street use to and from race meets.

Although my extractors are nowhere near as convoluted and the primaries are nowhere as long, I have a set of 4 into 1 headers and I like em.

my mistake, it is a pitcrew item, expect to pay over $1000 though.

Tuning For Speed

Put simply there is an optimum length (actually, volume would be more accurate) for each cylinder's exhaust pipe for the production of horsepower and torque at a given engine speed, and there is a mathematical formula for determining this length (hence the term 'tuned length'). Varying the length and volume of the pipe will affect the engine speed at which max torque and horsepower are produced. In the sixties there were some fairly successful designs with cockpit adjustable pipes These days engineers fiddle with valve timing instead (VTEC yo!). There are many other factors that go into a successful exhaust system, particularly gas scavenging, that can compromise the tuned length. Read the book, you'll love it.

I remember seeing that car or a very similar one on the flyin' miata site not too long ago, maybe take a look there

$1000+, is the going price of most GOOD headers, expect to pay the same for maximworks.

You get what you pay for seriously, ones are just made similar to OEM, others are made with more R&D and better quality parts and workmanship.

If you want cheap, go x-force or npower, $200 and $450 respectively- note that is without the spaghetti.

Spaghetti designed headers/ turbo manifolds are always known to be more expensive, because they aren't exactly easy to make compared to low mounted headers, with all the complicated welding, and most if not any, are not made in China.....

Whoa for 1 k, I epect some serious weight loss is it made out of titaninum??

quality japanese parts arent cheap guys! best off going custom or as philz said, npower/xforce.
