So with the car in the garage I thought its a good time to finally fit that turbo kit Ive been piecing together for the past year or so.

I have just about everything ready to go and will be running a Haltech E8 ECU.
Ideally I would like to use a proper TPS, not the simple on-off switch which is fitted as standard to the B6 in the NA6 manual.
Apparently autos have a proper tps, (variable)
In the US they seem to fit E30 and E36 BMW TPS' with a bit of work,

is there a common tps used here that is an easy fit?

thanks,

Mark.

The BMW TPS is not a hard modification. It simply bolts on to youe existing spindle. Make sure you grab a connector with it (6 pin plug) and wire it in.

I for one was too cheap to buy the BMW one and went with a VW/Audi TPS from the 94 model V6 A4. It is almost identical to the BMW one except for the plug. The BMW one is round whilst the Audi one is flat (almost exactly like the AFM plug, but 7 pin not 6). I made a litche patch cable between the 7 pin plug to a 3 pin socket and havent touched it since.

The Audi one cost me $25 as opposed to the BMW ones ($60)
