Just got the engine back in the car and need to place the remote oil filter in the engine bay.

Just wondering if anyone else is running a similar remote filter setup and where you've mounted the filter (have an NA).

Using a ilmotorsport kit from MX5parts in the UK. (see pic)

I'm running something similar on my SP.

The filter is now located in the well just in front of the windscreen on the driver's side, and the oil cooler is located behind the front bumper, and is mounted onto the white plastic under bumper(?), with a couple of slots cut into the bumper cover to allow fresh air into the cooler.
There really isn't too many other places to mount the cooler because of space and breathing.
Be careful, the oil cooler can get very hot so you need to get fresh air into it.

The cooler itself I presumed I'd put where your is, more the filter that has me looking for what if's.

Have you cut holes in the top of the firewall to get the hoses into the well?

Excuse my ignorance. But what are the benefits of cooler oil?
