Anyone have any experience with these radiators at all? Any good or are they not worth the effort?

Looks good, and the fan mounting positions look right. Could these be the re-badged "Cooling Pro" ones?
If so, then they fit no problems as I helped Tezzax5 with his.

52mm is a bit of overkill. If you are not forced and not a race car you don't need it. I have 40mm cooling pro which probably comes from the same factory as that one and I have no cooling issues anymore. even on the track. with 52mm you will have clearance issues with a thicker front sway bar or if you go supercharged you will have clearance issues with the crank pulley too.

Thanks for the feedback. Just thought the price was awfully cheap, mostly worried about quality.

yup, anything more than 40mm would be overkill for NA's.. i have my cooling pro radiator 40mm.. does the job better than oem.. can't complain

My radiator top tank was leaking and I was tossing up whether to replace it with a thicker Cooling Pro radiator or replace the top tank as there wasn't all that much difference in price with Mania's sale. I had a chat to the guy that designed the SP radiator and he recomended reconditioning the SP radiator, though strangely he said the thicker Cooling Pro radiator would probably be OK in a non-turbo car. He said they tried using thicker cores in the development of the SP but were having overheating issues so they went back to a thinner core (around 30mm I think) and that seemed to work better. I'm not sure why, he was busy and didn't elaborate. I haven't had any overheating problems with my car unless the grill is clogged with leaves so he might be right. So anyway, it looks like bigger might not always be better in an MX5.

its probably got something to do with head soak and the fact the sp intercooler is much bigger the say an se (waits for stones) and cant get as much cool air to it so the thinner core is more thermally efficient or something - i think.
