Currently replacing my 5 spd box with a 6 spd
The starter motor bolts up to the gearbox via 3 bolt holes. On the 6 spd box, one of these 3 holes is set further apart. Has anyone come across this before? Can I just use 2 bolts to keep it in place or do I need to get the starter motor from a 6 spd box?
Thank you

you only use two of the 3 bolts - be very interested in your thoughts after fitment.

i recently did it too, 2 bolts are fine.
not a big difference, it might accelerate a bit faster, but a shorter final drive will to the same.
oh and the shifter sux.

I used a late model starter and engine plate so I could still use all 3. Though I have heard too that its fine to just use two.

just vague, long throw, and having reverse where it is makes it difficult to find 6th at times.
