Hey guys,

I've recently acquired an NB8A mx5, and i'm looking into an exhaust/headers package...

Is anyone currently using the xforce headers, and if so are they any good??

Xforce extractors are stainless

I was speaking to Exotic Exhaust in Brizzie regarding my exhaust sys

he said he uses Mild Steel and don't use Stainless because they get too hot and crack

My mates say Stainless looks crap when they get hot

Altho my extractors are gona cost a bit because they are getting custom made

I'm using x-force. They are wrapped in heat tape so look is irrelevant to me. They only really came alive when I added a free flowing exhaust, so factor that in too.

breathing mods are a good thing to do, you can get some nice gains by upgrading the intake and exhaust . the standard headers are very good already, so that would be the last place i would upgrade as there is more to gain in intake & exhaust, imho. or just do it all in one go for best results straight off the bat.

I have a set and also a set of no name brand ones. The X-Force are better but retail at about 3 times the price of the no-names. Luckily, I got them for less than retail.

Mine are not yet installed but will be soon, with an N power cat and rear can. Will see how that goes & report.

Yup, get a \"cat back\" solution first. Then either get some extractors (ceramic coated, not wrapped) or the SMB extended secondary with hi flow cat.

I was thinking of going the Turbo route, and I've got the money to do it, but I don't know whether I want to invest another 7K in a car that I already owe money on...

Yes, that would be kinda stupid. Pay it off first then drop all your money into something you own rather than the bank.
