yeah a few people have done it. it's very cheap, simple, and easy to do. send a PM to littlemike. he did it without too much fuss and drama.

...and here http://www.aus-cartalk.com/viewtopic.php?t=30796  ...although it is an NC...you are probably referring to conversion of a NA or NB.

Maybe we ought to put up a sticky.

let the people know about the amount of fun & amount of popcorn which gets consumed by the rest of the community. As they share their nightmare

anyone attempting a rotary conversion without huge amounts of mechanical experience & know how is very brave. The money factor seems almost irrelevant. It appears to be a given that its going to be far more than just a few fist fulls of dollars.

One of the canadian guys on one of the other forums has just put a ported 13B in his NA6, he said that it took a fair bit of time to get the engine siting just right but that it wasn't overly difficult, just time consuming

lil mike has the pearl of wisdom and the courage to say it. Burning money is often a by product of these exercises. Some think this is of no concern but I would rate it as the highest weighted factor. A mercenary approach or measured one- why not -many have mortgages ,children to educate and the usual pressures.

The cost of labour is always going to be the major component of any conversion (even more so, if the path has not been travelled before). So if you're mechanically competent and can spare the time and space, the result is well worth the effort.

Cheers,
Danny

certainly not disputing the fun factor or the straight line factor......but I think your'e a little deluded on the twisties one
