anyone purchased this product?
http://www.949racing.com/index.asp?Page ... ProdID=106It seems that it should be the first step taken to overheating problems instead of just a bigger rad.

A number of MX-5 race cars have this done to them, but it isn't required for street use or even occasional track days.
When my SP was standard, it never overheated, even on long track days, so unless your engine is pushing more than 10lbs of boost, and you do a lot of track days, save your money!

my experience is different. i have had overheating issues a fair bit, mainly at the track but also spirited mountain drives in warm weather. they are under control now but i am still interested in doing the coolant reroute, and i agree with 16bit it was probably the first thing i should have done.
an SP is pretty well sorted form the factory, but some of the aftermarket and diy kits (mine for example) need a bit more help in the cooling dept.

I have been looking at these and a number of alternative ways of doing something silimar. I don't believe that they have actually sold many units as there was some delay in getting it to market. There are a number of threads on the big forum with some great DIY solutions. Do a search on coolant reroute and research the options.

i have two track days coming up on june and will be getting some water wetter and doing a rad cover to see if that will solve my issues but if this does not work and pending shipping I may get this.
