hey guys im about to change my diff and gb oil so i have bought the appropriate oils for both my GB and diff only to get under the car to find i have a viscous lsd diff..

well what i was told was a viscous LSD. it has a finned case which is apparently the kicker when visually looking at the differance between it and a standard NA6 diff (standard na6 open diff has a smooth case) correct me if im wrong.

before i change the oil i just want to know if i should return the oil i have got and replace it with LSD oil

can anyone tell me how to confirm which diff i have. the car is a Jap imort NA6 with a finned case cover on the diff.

thanks guys

You're wrong.
All diffs were finned after the first few hundred.

They all use the same (non-LSD) oil.
