Hi all... i have just bought a Bosch replacement oxygen sensor and figure to change it all i need to do is remove the heat shield, and use a spark plug size spanner??? to take the existing one out.

Then cut the wire about 40 mm and strip it, crimp it to the new sensor and screw it back in?

is that right?? i'm a lil worried i might be thinking its that easy. anything i should be wary of? any tricks?

Its that easy. If you cant loosen the sensor trying leaving a rag soaked in wd-40 on it over night then give it a crack the next day. Apart from that, its as easy as a 2-piece jigsaw puzzle.

place some anti-seize on the thread before you install the new one.

the bosche ones will have a bit of anti-seize on them anyway. make sure to put the heat shrink wrap on before it's all crimped together.

ok stupid question, i should have looked at this, what size spanner do i need?
just so i know when i get home i can get it done.
Just getting my tool collection started now. haha.
is it 22mm??
