262,000Ks engine with perfect compression results??

apparently i got one in MarioKart. compression tested today by my mechanic & results are 190 on all cylinders.. sounds a bit too good to be true to me though but maybe it's possible. i was actually there watching when he did it too. maybe the tester is a bit faulty. he didn't seem at all concerned about it's reliability though, but maybe i'll go get a secondary test somewhere else to be sure.
when he took out sparkplug one it had oil on the threads but none on the white porcelain part or the sparklead or even on the side sparkplug well. he tightened up the valve cover bolts though so i'll be checking that plug regularly from now on i guess.
he did certainly say theres something wrong on the upper part of the engine, either oil galleries are very blocked up or HLAs are worn. nothing i didn't already self diagnose... so here goes another treatment of lifter free. some other brand thats not Nulon's or Wynn's which he's been sworn by from other mechanics. mines the guinea pig since he hasn't yet tried it on any other car yet.so far surprisingly it seems to be working after a good half hour drive (product did almost nothing with no engine load parked in the workshop). but will see how it goes in the long run.
looks like my planned engine swap might be put off for a bit until i'm sure whether it's needed or not.
