Hey guys just wondering what would the maximum boost you would put through the nb8b motors with 10 comp ratio? I am thinking of when my motor goes south to build a 10:1 forged motor and run about 10psi. would that be safe?

Will Tell you next week
Building a 10:1 turbo race engine and going for 14-20 psi of Boost:D
had a STI WRX running 24PSI on a 10:1 Comp. Engine managment is the Key to keeping it together.

Engine management choice is important but a good tuner is probably more important. Good fuel helps too

I've never received anything but help (except for the water injection incident - but even then people were helpful).
Are you sure you're not thinking of miata.net?
I've always found if you take the time to ask considered questions, and show some evidence of having done some searching, someone is always willing to chip in with solutions/recommendations (and not of the rude and nasty kind).

Nope. Definitely them.
God, where to I start except to say they're quick to flame you, insinuate you're some sort of idiot - without reading your posts properly.
Seems they're more intent on flaming than reading what people post.
I should add that their standalone 94 guide is just flat-out wrong, and will have your car going nowhere. The one that's apparently meant to help me - shame it's nearly exclusively geared towards parallel installations. Not to mention the sh*t that someone pulled out of his arse when it came to getting aircon working. Whereas, I presented a theory to miata.net and got some helpful replies without any sort of insinuation that I'm an idiot who needs to use the search button to find non-existent information.

Well I guess don't ask them for help then.

No sh*t!
Actually, I won't tar them all with the same brush. There are some helpful people there, but the circlejerk of flamers really works against those good people.

There is excellent information on that site and some VERY knowledgable guys.
Unfortunately the other 99.99% of the forumites are either complete jerks or newbies needing information.
That site needs new/better admins to clean up the flamers. The WORST of all the people on that site is actually the owner; Phillip. Stay away from him, he is neither pleasant nor helpful/knowledgable - he drives a Monaro.
In responce to the OP question; about 12-15PSI reliably without sooper$$$ spent on ECU and tune.

Philip sold the site, and his replacements are barely better.
Hence - Tim and I have started ozmx5, and are hoping to get the Australian MX-5 megasquirters over there instead.

As you guys know, I don't post much on sites.
(except for the odd slap an tickle)
But rather only do when i have info that has previously worked for me in the first place.
I tried to offer some advice a couple of times there and got criticised or argued against (once when i didn't reply to the criticism).
Most of my posts there (MT.net) have been to buy some bits when they come up cheap. My opnions or advice are kept to myself.
The ones that did criticise were the mods, if it isn't their way it's wrong...
Even if they are wrong

ive pretty much stopped posting on Miataturbo.net also.....99.9% of posts are from dorks who cant use a search button with dumb questions like...\"is there anything better that afpr and bipes setup?' etc etc and guys who claim to run setups the \"run perfectly\" when you know damn well that hey are a hand grenade waiting to pop at any minute.
