i know a few of us have been waiting for these suckers for a while.

see Ajay's post here. Apparently there had been some fitment issues with earlier ones that have since been resolved, so i thought i'd try it out and see how it fits.

first thing to do is pull the old one out. this photo is a bit of a \"where's wally / where's fatty\"

in the above photo you can see my AVO intake pipe from the throttle body sits out a lot further than on a stock car, meaning that the A/C fan shroud would probably rub against it, due to the extra thickness of the new radiator. so seeing as how my A/C is not connected at the moment anyway, we decided not to bother fitting it. modding the A/C shroud looks like a pretty simple job tho, just hit it in a couple of spots with the angle grinder.

the fan is a perfect fit . the holes for the A/C fan look like they're in the right spot too.

and yeah, my fan shroud is stuffed. i should get a new one.

side by side.... pretty big difference

all hooked up and running.

been for a short drive tonight , fine so far, but the real test will be calder this weekend. the car has been overheating a bit lately , so hopefully this will cure that problem.

i'm rather pleased with it, there wasn't too much drama involved in fitting it and it looks very well made. not bad for less than $400!

big thanks to bruce / fattima for all the help today. it's nice to have someone around who actually knows what they're doing

Just a quick note if anyone is going to use these pics as a reference the rubber bobbins are on the wrong side of the radiator in the second and third pics. Not sure if I do know what I'm doing Fatty

ah yes, we fixed that when we bolted it up to the car.

don't worry, when working on my car it seems to be becoming standard practice that things are initially fitted backwards. this is actually the 3rd time that has hapenned

Fatty, have you bought some rubber/foam to go around the top-front and sides of the radiator?

not yet, but it is on the \"to do\" list for sure.

Hey, I don't remember fitting any radiators recently !

well , yeah of course ideally you would have both the fans wired up in parallel so that they both come on when the car gets hot.

my air con is currently disconnected, and the fans weren't wired in parallel. so that other fan never came on anyway. i'll get around to doing it all properly one day.

these radiators are great, but the holes didnt match up perfectly for mine, just a quick grind of the stock hole will fix that but (if it happens). looks great in the engine bay, holds more coolant AND lowers engine temp by a fair bit (well mine anyway, but i did install a new thermostat too) and for $399 you cant go wrong really, as i said in another post these would be best bang for your buck (comparing to koyo and PWR) and you can get them from mania or justjap :D
