Max power stock motor and fuel pump question

Postby 16bit » Fri Dec 28, 2007 10:54 am

Hey guys I am considering increasing the boost on my supercharger and was wondering what sort of power the stock nb8a engine can take. Its a 68k motor and seems to be in perfect working order. I have not had a single problem and there is no hint of oil consumption.

I have another question on what sort of power the stock fuel pump can deliver. I am thinking that the power will go up to around 150-160wkw.
98 evo gold - rotrexed and loving it.

Stock pump in mine was OKish at that sort of power, but was struggling to make decent rail pressure once I got much over 150-160ish.

If your pump is a little tired, it's worth replacing it with a Walbro pump, they make a pretty much direct blt it (i think the model was GSS 342 from memory).

Buy it from a reputable dealer rather than eBay, I've heard of a few fakes getting passed off on eBay recently.
When results speak for themselves - don't interrupt.
