Coolant reroute

Postby zoomzoom » Thu Nov 15, 2007 10:23 pm

Thought I would put up a couple pics of the coolant reroute I just did.

I had a new front neck made up to put the ecu temp sensor in and for a heater outlet. I had one made up in preference to just using a 1.8 front neck to clear the front on the engine as much as possible. The pipe I just had bent up out of alloy which goes down to the 1.6 thermostat housing which is relocated to the back of the head. Alternatively a datsun 1600 thermostat housing can be used on the back of the head.

Thanks to mx5 plus for the help and bits too.

I see your air filter has improved :)

That's looking great. I'll have to come check it out in person. How was the cooling yesterday? Any problems?

Doing this mod myself at the moment. I've got the head off anyway so that makes things a little easier. I'll post again why I've got it up and running, but I'm keen to see what difference it for you...
