swapping fans over on nb8a

I have some clearance issues with the thicker of the two fans on my 5. i was wondering if it were at all possible to swap the two around?
if your looking for cooling.
then you can actually run them in a parrelle line,
when one comes on, they both come on.
or, run a switch which is connected to your ingintion which you can either leave turned on while the car is on accessories & above so you can manually turn them on / off.
but to answer your question, i dont know,
probably not though.
