Mazdaspeed Engine Mounts

Has anyone had any experience with these? If so how much extra NVH is transmitted? I like the idea of 40% extra stiffness but I'm not real keen on a big increase in NVH. I've been reading about them on Miatanet and some people dont notice any difference while others notice a big increase in NVH and take them out.
My car has 2 broken mounts and it's booked into Mania on Wed to get some Mazdaspeed ones fitted. But I'm not sure I want them if they are going to vibrate my fillings out.
Does anyone know if they are the same as the ones used in the SE? I know it has upgraded mounts from regular MX5's but I'm not sure if they are the same as the Mazdaspeed ones.
Cheers
Edit: Just talked to Josh at Mania and they are the same mounts as used on the SE. I haven't heard of any SE drivers loosing their fillings so they should be fine.

Should be fine Garry. You know what the 'merrycans are like....they see problems where there are none sometimes.

Sounds good Gary, what are they worth?

I got the SE/Mazdaspeed ones installed.
There is maybe a tiny little bit more vibration at idle, but I had broken engine mounts too and perhaps there is more vibration because the engine is now actually connected to something?

But nah, they're perfectly roadable. Unless you point it out, I bet your passengers won't notice it either.

How do you tell if you have a broken engine mount?

You'll find that you're propelling your car like Fred Flintstone...

in the old days, you got a small indicator when the big metal fan started chewing the radiator shroud to pieces

...i guess these days with thermo fans, when the rocker cover starts tapping on the inner guard would be a fair guide

I couldn't tell the difference

After it's fixed it does feel smoother and more solid, but when it was broken I had no idea.

Years ago I had a '90 model Falcon. Whenever I accelerated, the gear stick would start from the left, then make it's way to the centre. As soon as I put the clutch in, the gear stick would fall back sharply to the left with a 'clunk'.
Took it to the mechanic and he drove it. Popped the bonnet and the engine was just sitting on the sidewall of the engine bay.

You can hear a clunk from the engine bay when you accelerate,
You know when you look at an engine while it revs, it'll twist a little, the clunk will be from the engine hitting the frame its sitting on.

My first car was a Mini850. Whenever you took off there was this really loud clonk. Turned out the rhs mount had sheared and the whole engine and transmission was pivoting and hitting the firewall. Learned how to be really delicate with the clutch pedal though!

Helped with an engine change on an NB8A on Friday/Saturday. Both mounts were stuffed but there was no visual or other indications until the engine came out.

In early Mustangs, the carby used a rod and ball linkage rather than cable, and if one of the engine mounts broke, then the engine would rock enough to jam the linkage and not allow it to come back to idle
