Another Lochie/MX-5 Mania intake copy

Hurrah!, just finshed my Lochie imitation intake, it's a two in one so I can also transform it into a Racing Beat copy  Overall I'm rather happy with it, still some small bits & pieces to do but it's pretty much done. Don't be too worried about that rubber reducer clamped onto the filter housing, it's not screwed on to tightly (just there to look like it's more secure) so the housing shouldn't break.

So people with the actual Lochie or MX-5 Mania versions is there a drainage hole on the tubing or the filter housing? I knows there is one on the original Lochie fibreglass airbox which I still got, hrrmmmm may well have to sell that off now :)

Well off for the first drive, because I also gotta fix a blown globe for the rear rego plate.

How much did the reducer, rubber and clamps set you back? I need to do mine I think

hard PVC reducer is $2.90
rubber reducer comes with the 2 clamps (has two grooves for them) $21.50

found at Bunnings in the rainwater piping section

even saw something rather similar to the upper gearshift boot our cars have, be a cheap replacement when the time comes.

Sounds very nice & more growley on the acceleration, more so than the original Lochie. Now I understand what people here have been writing about :)

If you want I can take you for a drive some time. Have yet to try it out at night though, maybe will have a run through Glenelg tonight & listen
