They needs retensioning or replacing.

Belts should not be noisy. (except for mine which has a wobbly crank, fixed rather dodgily) :P

Hi.

its not too hard to adjust the belt tensioner.

i cannot find a picture, but there is basically 2 bolts, one loosens the tensioner so that it may be adjusted, the other actually does the adjusting...

Retension your belt if it's in good condition, if it still makes noise spray some belt grip on it and the noise will stop.

First thing to do is to check the belts closely to see if they are cracked or have any bits missing from them, because if they do, then you will have to replace the belts before doing any re-tensioning on them, otherwise they might just break at the most inconvenient time.

My belts in the Suzuki squeal loudly for about 5 seconds when started from cold. Guess they need a bit of adjustment (they were all replaced 30K ago) ?
