Cooling Pro Radiators Group Buy - Update

History
Back in March we initiated a group buy of Cooling Pro radiators for the MX5. These are an all alloy knock-off of the PWR or Koyo product.

They finally arrived in May, and were promptly recognised to be the wrong product for the NA6, and had slightly less obvious (but still real) issues for the NA8/NB8 series.

Now
Mania is now awaiting the delivery of a new shipment of radiators from a different supplier (so technically they are not Cooling Pro).

The when is still undetermined but Mania will probably communicate with purchasers when they do arrive. Those who have dealt with Mania from a distance will know how their communication has not always been as good as desired, but it looks like this is changing.

Thanks for the update :) Hope they come soon as mine has just started to crack around the top hose. Hopefully it holds out long enough.

I have just fixed mine with Loctite Radiator/Fuel Tank repair putty.

$10 from Repco at Fyshwick. Seems to do the job reasonably well.

Mania has sent me an old stock radiator until the new ones arrive. It arrived today and will be fitted on Friday night.

I spoke via email with Simone on Saturday.

Apparently the radiators are 'on the way' and 'should be with us within the week'.

Mania has had some serious supplier issues with this purchase and I suspect that they will be very glad to see it finished due to the hassling I have given them over this buy.

FWIW - Mania lent me a stock NA6 rad when mine finally got to the point where I could not drive 50km without running dry. Posted it at their expense too.

Good to hear they are looking after you.
I've heard people giving mania a bit of a bagging over this whole deal, realistically though I can't see how it was thier fault, they were supplied with the wrong radiators, out of thiercontroll really.

Haha when I ordered my cooling pro radiator back in november, it took 2 months to show up, and even then, they had put a heap of extra bushes in it that I never ordered. Had to wait another month for the replacement, but hey, what can ya do

I emailed exchanged with Simone on Thursday. (they did try to call me on Wednesday, but I was in a meeting and couldn't take the call)

Same old story - supplier is stuffing them around.

They do have a kit to fit an NB radiator to an NA. Apparently there is some minor brackets that they supply and it will otherwise work fine. If you are willing to take this option, give them a call.

I'm going to wait for now.
