NA6 oil pressure gauge dead??

NA6 oil pressure gauge dead??

hey guys, my girlfriends oil pressure gauge is dead, it wont move at all!!! anyone have any ideas or troubleshooting for it???

i cleaned the connector for it at the sender near the oil filter but it still wont work.

Checked oil quantity? No metallic noises from engine? If you're sure there is actually pressure there, try a cheap after market gauge or check for some change in voltage across the sender terminals. If those tests fail, you may need a new/replacement sender.

yeah ive checked the quantity, its fine. the engine also feels fine too. I think it would have seized by now as my guess is shes been dirving like that for ages and we also just did a sydney to woollongong drive.

The sender could be dead. If it is, it's a pain in the ass to replace, as you have to remove the intake manifold. I did that job a couple of months ago - wasn't fun.
