Dyno tuners?

Depends on what you have done to it.

The fuel pump runs off a relay which is activated through your AFM, so if that's been fiddled with, you will need to ground the F/P pin in the diagnostics connector to simulate what the AFM would do. This is a safety precaution to stop squirting fuel all over the place if the engine stops sucking. so to speak.

Since the car is running the fuel pump with the bridged connection i would be looking at the AFM not grounding the green wire (I think it is). It was all explained in Stan's post earlier this year... I will try and find it.

Edit: Found it

My fuel pump randomly stopped working (ie old OEM one)....replaced with new pump and all is well...my pump was 14 years old, so maybe its just old age thats killed urs?

I had a similar problem with my car after installing the new ECU. I believe that it was caused by a dodgy earth connection in one of the ECU connectors. I also blew the ignitor, which caused her to run on 2 cyl.

I ran the car for a few days with the gnd/FP pins in the diagnostics box jumpered. This bypasses the main relay and the fuel pump will remain on when the key is turned on. By doing this there is an added risk if you are in an accident as the fuel pump will keep delivering fuel to the engine bay until the key is turned off.

Once I replace the ignitor and then fixed the bad earth it was all good and has not caused me any grief in over 12 months (touch wood).

8)

Yeah just set one of the aux channels to go low and it should hold the relay on.

Snack.
