Folks,
I have the diff from a 1.8 on the bench, with driveshafts.
It does *not* have the bolt-on inner CV joints of the earliest models.
How do I remove the driveshafts?
Gavin.

Get a strong screwdriver.
pace it against the drive shaft in the outward direction
& whack the sh*t out of it.
it will pop out.
doesn't have to be a screwdriver. strong piece of wood will do it too. but more force will be absorbed.

Thanks, Stan.
I tried prying it against the diff case, but since it seemed to be restrained, I presumed it some sort of circlip & gave up.
I guess the \"wack the sh*t out of it\" technique just overcomes any existing clip?
Gavin.

2 small purpose made timber wedges work fine.

Thanks, blokes for the advise.
They really just needed some \"oomph\" on the lever, and there they were.
Gavin.
