Hi All,
How do I stop my brake pads from rattling on my NB8B? It's really annoying so I'm going to do something about it today.

Do I just need to buy that goop and apply it between the back of brake pad and the metal backing plate or do I need to modify \"W\" anti-rattle clip that's not doing it's job?

I've got a rattle as well but i cant seem to pin point where the noise is coming from. I've checked everywhere.
Any volinteers willing to have a look at my noise issue?

Go to your local brake shop and get some brake glue stuff. You put it between the plate and backer. it is in a very small tube and will stop your rattles.

I forget the name of the stuff, but it works.

First, make sure your calipers aren't sticking or siezed. I have heard of an MX5 with only 15 000 kms have a siezed caliper, so it isn't out of the question.

The anti rattle clips aren't strong enough to stop the pads from rattling in the calipers, especially after a few heat cycles fatigue the metal. Mazda has designed the set up so that the clips should be replaced when replacing the pads, but of course new clips are only available when buying a set of Mazda pads and not available as a seperate item. New clips might help for a while but it will come back again. It's a crap design.

Yes, I've got the same problem on my NB8B as well. Definately annoying.
