BP and B6 rod dimensions and rev limit...

Postby Mooro » Wed Jun 20, 2007 1:03 pm

G'day, I'm doing some research into an engine I'd like to build (not Mazda) on a budget and I'm looking at the possiblity of using Mazda B6 or BP rods.

I believe the rod length is 132.9 but correct me if I'm wrong.
This is close enough to what I need but obviously the BE and SE diameters are important, so if anyone has these dimensions I would appreciate it.

Any other info you have about the rods (both turbo and non-turbo would be helpful) would be appreciated,
- Width at BE and SE,
- Weight
- Are they for a press fit or full floating piston

Also if all other aspect of the engine where up to scratch (ie, crank, cams etc) what is the generally accepted maximum rpm for the various rods?
