Thanks mate, i'm signed up there already. Couldn't find any maps for nat aspirated NB8B, only turbo.

This one was hooked up to a Skyline, so i'll need to reconfigure jumpers for 2001 MX5, clear the map on the unit and reset all values to zero, then wire it into my ECU and go from there.

Haven't really looked into it yet, but is it possible to just do pure datalogging for a few days on my normal drive into work and

I've been looking around for E-Manage harnesses but they are pretty rare and expensive, even from the US. I'm thinking of just wiring directly to the E-Manage pins and wrap in electrical tape instead of using a harness. Can't see any reason why I couldn't do this.

That's cheap? Damn, It'd be over AU$220 after conversion and postage - just for the harness.

I was just cutting up a different harness and plan to use the individual clips. Tap the other end into the ECU harness and it should be right. Apart from lookin unprofessional, I can't see why it wouldn't work. All up, I don't think i'll be spending any more than $20 for the wiring.

Here is what I cut up, they slip nicely and very firmly over the emanage pins (sorry about the quality ):

vibration will work those pins loose buddy.
But if you're set on doing it, at least use a bit of hot melt glue to loom them together (or epoxy if it's handy)...
I would spen a coupe of weeks looking for a hacked loom plug.

Yes.

I'd be worried about it working loose and causing strange electrical maladies.

I don't know where you'll find a 1.8 harness for $20, plus then you need to buy wires, connectors, insulation etc and do teh work. I don't know what you're hourly rate is, but a few hours for most people, along with the cost of parts required) would easily get up to teh $220.

I wored my ECU myself, and if someone could give me a P&P loom for $250 I'd snap it up (ok well now I have draw the schemitics and have a bunch of spare wire maybe not).
