yeh quite possibly if they havn't been changed in a while
Check for the car's daily fuel consumption too.
Under the same driving conditions, increased fuel consumption may indicate that the spark plugs/leads on their way out (at least that's what I've experienced before I had to change mine)
Have you checked the battery as well?
