Saw him today at the top of Upper Edward St at the lights, but they changed before I had a chanced to race up and request a lift back into the city....
However as he drove off from the lights I have to admit the new motor sounds $%$KING SWEET!!!!!
Well done Mr Tooth

Ta UA! Took me a bloody age to get that engine in, so it's satisfying to have it running nicely. It's actually getting tuned today - I'm leaving it at 12psi for now - bit of a safety barrier as I still only have a 2 bar MAP sensor. Just have to decide on some long term boost control.
Shame about that WRX behind me - typical yob with the stereo up and a BOV pssschht on every gearchange.

You should drive it now - I've sorted out the compressor surge noise that you heard previously, and dialled the boost up a bit to match a slight retwigging of the tuning.....
Ahh - what a joy to drive and so punchy too......

You can't blame the man for psschhtting with his new toy. Hell, I did it a fair bit. saboteur couldn't help himself when he had a drive of mine too (closet ricer!).
Negative on the tune today. They couldn't connect to the ECU, and neglected to tell me so. This pisses me off especially because a) I have a track day tomorrow, and b) I own a laptop specifically used for tuning the car. I offered to bring this in today so that I'd have a running car tomorrow. No go.

Try Mercury Motorsport at Newmarket - they allowed me to use my laptop, and they do club days.

It -was- Mercury. If I do bother going back I'll give them my laptop.
$130 for tomorrow's trackday down the drain, unless someone wants to buy my spot.

Sabre, what about
Signature Performance? Mick (proprietor) does the car checks at track day (like today) and seems to have a good reputation. I think he sorted Paul's godzilla.

You should use Simon at MacGregor Mechanical.
He tunes about 10 of the race cars in QLD and uses Haltec. He also tunes alot of Improved production and turbo cars.
He actually prefers you to bring your own lap top so you have the maps at the ready.

Dont go to mercury. never had good experiences with them. Look for a place called P.I.T.S apparently very good from friends reports. down on the gold coast.
also, what ecu have you got?
Matty Spry (PITS) For The Win.
Tuned a few mates of mine's cars. They all seem to hold together and aren't making small HP.

Matt's who tuned my car the first time - he was working for ChipTorque back then. He's certainly an option now he's in Morningside.
Thanks for the PMs and messages. I'm probably going to pay either Mick (Signature) or PITS a visit - Mick's got some good rap from people I know, and the quick chat I had to him at the track day sounded like he's used the E6A software before.

Where abouts in Morningside? I thought PITS were down the coast?

My mistake. Molendinar, not Morningside.
