Hi guys!!
just wanted to pick your brains a bit more.
I want to get rid of my afm. who knows what about the cheapest and nastiest way of getting rid of it? Such as piggyback ecu's etc.
Thanks in advance for your replies

been heaps of topics about this do a search.
Long story short need a full stand alone computer to do it. EManage Ultimate says it can but noone has yet been succesful in gettin the car running right with it.

Find a HKS VPC, it will do the job in a reasonable kind of way.
Look up VPC in the search engine, or look in my old posts, information will be found.

Sheck - the miataturbo.net guys have done it just recently. You have to buy the GReddy map sensor though, it won't work with any other sensor.

Hey boags when did they manage that? Last time i checked (a number of months ago) they were all whinging that they couldnt get it running well even with the GReddy map sensor?
lam.666; greddy is good for what its built for - a piggy back. It does its job very well and has great scope for power (double standard output for the majority of cars). I'll get mine dynoed properly when the new turbo goes on and i'll post up some results. And with the new Ultimate its even better.
But yea full standalone is your best bet, as it has scope for most any mod you care to throw at the car.

Joe Perez did a massive write up on how to do it. I think it is a sticky in the \"Emanaged Miatas\" section. I didn't look into it too much cause I don't have the Ultimate, maybe they are still having issues. I do know that Joe is running sans AFM though.
