Stumbled across this the other day...

Seems like a pretty simple package, but for $40US, not too bad. It measures rpm, and calculates power/torque etc from that.

Could be interesting to measure the effectiveness of any changes, more than searching for an absolute figure.

Maybe just the software for $40US would be a better bet. Not sure I'm comfortable plugging it into my laptop's mic in port though.

Not even going to bother reading an autospeed article. But that the worst idea I've heard in a long time is is incredible crap and proof it works is merely coincidental.
