Which pod filter? What size?

No secret I'm going turbo - but my question is which pod filter?
A search on EBay reveals many filters - some with surround some without.
What would people who've got turbo (or just from experience) recommend?
Any to avoid?
Given I'm going from a K&N so I've got the reoiling kit so I'll look to be able to reservice whichever new filter I get.......

AutoBarn have K&N pod filters for $69 at the moment...

anything that fits!!! as long as its not a el cheapo ebay knock off.
Are you still using the greddy u-turn thingy? If you are then yea a K n N one would be best.

we tested top ten filters,
3Aracing, Simota were great on flow and good on filtering,
i would go K&N for the best filtering, and good flow.

I've had good results from my existing panel K&N filter (currently in a Loch Stewart Mk 1 airbox - potentially both for sale)
Oil lines & water lines went in last weekend for sizing and fit up, ready for more work soon....... so even more should be revealed this weekend.........

Talking to alot of the rally guys, if you want excellent filtering the uni Filter are best, i found if there was dust it would by pass the k&n on the last engine (eg autocross or even a dusty road). But the rally boys all use unifilter and have no problems. That being said i don't see max going on that many dusty roads or autocross tracks....
Only thoughts with the Unifilter is how to make use of the firewall hole to deliver cool air, and to shroud off the heat from the manifold - a pod filter gives me a little more flexibility.

i personally would never use a foam filter on the road.
off road is a different story.
that said, I havent tried pipercross.

I won a khanacross last year, in part because my main competitor sucked his (panel) unifilter into the throttle body, jamming it open. Impressively, he nudged a tree on the first corner, but finished that run by turning the key off under brakes. Quick thinking!
