Diagnostic box on the SE...

Does anyone have the diagram to show which pins to short out to get the Thermo fans working..

From miata.net Lou - for the NAs but it might be similarly marked in the SE. The yellow wire in the fan plug is the power wire for the fan - the black is the ground in case you want to test your fan. :)


The connection to the Diagnosis Connector goes to its “TFA” terminal. If the “TFA” terminal is jumpered to the “GND” terminal, the effect is the same as closing the Water Thermoswitch, i.e. the fan should activate if the ignition switch is on. This is a good test to determine that the relay and fan motor are working. (This test will not activate the A/C Condenser Fan.)

Thanks Phillip,that really helped,worked out I unplugged the fan relay during building the car and it didn't get put back in.

OMG!! Lucky the ambients were low at PI and EC. I must check mine! 8)
