SE Turbo Upgrade

Postby blackster » Thu Feb 01, 2007 11:54 pm

We are replacing the stock manifold and turbo. Disco Potato time! It will retail the stock Intercooler / BEGi Intercooler location and IC outlet tube.

Perhaps, although then SE's are getting fairly cheap now and have plenty of goodies thrown in as well as a baby turbo.

It would possibly be cheaper to just grab an SP though.

If you are that keen, just get the standard turbo modified. That way it remains standard looking and mount wise but has higher capacity internals. The stocky one will easily do 150rwkw at less than 1 bar of boost so until you are running up there, you are well away from the limit on the stock setup. All Begi have really done is copy the SP/AVO setup by the look of it. Nice and neat though. 8)

Out of curiosity who do you suggest to do such work?

I was going to say it looks like they've made it into an SP. Manifold doesn't look as nice though, but it could just be a prototype (the prototype SP manifold was a real roughy too).

There are plenty of others that also do it - just buy a fast 4s or zoom or similar mag and read the ads. There's plenty of people that can modify turbos around.

I've heard good things about GCG, another company I'd highly recommend are MTQ, I've had work done by MTQ when they had a branch close to me and the work was top grade with reasonable pricing, gave me back all the old bits too..
When results speak for themselves - don't interrupt.
