t25g Turbo help...

Postby green_comet » Mon Nov 27, 2006 3:32 pm

Hey everyone,

I have managed to source a fairly cheap t2 turbo, in good condition. Its a garrett t25g turbo off a 180sx, it has no shaft play etc etc.

Just wanted to know if this would be a good match to a bp engine. Im looking at turboing in the future, using a avo manifold.. I have no idea when it comes to turbo's. :?

Im looking at running around 120-130kw..

so simple question, is this thing any good??

also what are those holes, that the rags are stuffed into??

sorry im lost.. :?

It's a similar turbo to the one used in the SP so it will be OK for the power levels you are looking at.

The holes with the rags are water inlet and outlet plus oil in and out.

That the Same ats the First turbo I put on Garrett T25 A/R .80
The turbo will come on real early and be out of Puff at 5500
Is a great turbo for around town and in the twisty but total sucks on
the track  the T28 is a better option in the long run

so u think it'll be good for me to muck around with. Get the car up and running, then upgrade to a t28 when its all working fine, and this turbo is on its way out?

Ask if he'll throw in the 3M tape with the purchase so you can have a kermit green clubman like those Audi guys with the black S4.
