Which oil do you recommend?

Hi everyone, I'm sure this topic has been discussed before but for the life of me I couldn't find any answers through the search.
I'm about to do my first oil change, the car's had 98k km, drĂven daily, there's no major oil leak that I can tell. Which oil and oil filter I should use?
Cheers
Minh

Yep, been discussed to death. I use Castrol Magnatec and a Mazda filter.

On my rebuilt engine I'd say I'll be using Castrol Edge 0W40 - though my engine's turbocharged. That or Helix Ultra/similar.
Currently I use GTX3 as the Familia engine is using a little oil now.

Use any synthetic (of appropriate grade) and a Mazda Oil filter (because they often cost less than k-mart ones and the quality is guaranteed). Also you often get the sump plug washer with the Mazda one (if not ask for it to be thrown in).

If you use your $10 factory oil filter wrench removal is a cinch!

it would be even better if the filter was upside down, so it didn't pour oil all over your car.
Ahhhhh grass hopper, if you unscrew the filter a little at the start of the change, drop the oil out of the sump then take the filer off the oil drains out of the filter not spilling a drop

I use my free hand! The filter comes off in 1 minute tops.

I use whatever the dealer puts in!
Seriously though, I always specify a good synthetic.
Never had a problem with an oil filter, and I have never changed it, but the dealer does on a regular basis.

Agree. I use the same thing to tighten it too.
