fumes?

Postby rain902 » Mon Jun 12, 2006 8:02 pm

Im getting nasty fumes in the cabin of my na6 with the roof up - im thinking it has something to do with the rather deceased looking rubber gear lever boot (the one under the leather boot)

its not an exhaust smell - besides, i checked the exhaust and fuel system rather well while she was on the hoist last week.

anyone confirm this?

if it is - hoosellsem? and how hard are they to fit?

Mazda sells 'em. Get the one for the top of the gearstick too. Each are ~$30. Piece off piss to fit.

I had fumes in my cabin and sure enough it was the lower rubber boot.

Replaced it...no more fumes :D

i took the centre console off last week to get at my stereo and the rubber boot thats visible when the console is off was err rather broken. so im guessing by the pics that when i get the turret off im going to find a broken smaller boot under the big one?

Yep :| You just have to remove the upper rubber boot and you'll see the lower (smaller) boot.
