I think my handbreak is quite weak - it wont lock the wheels even in the wet when going in a straight line.

I also have a fairly steep driveway and unless the handbreak is up ALL the way the car will roll down slowly.

I know the handbreak isn't supposed to be that powerful but can i get it adjusted or something? what have your e-break experiences been like? hehe

something that is usually adjusted at each service mate............if you're doing handbrakeys (ripping it on), probably more regularly than that...........each time you pull it on hard you're stretching the cable to buggery, not REALLY what they were designed for...........

The handbrake is pretty ordinary so say the least but it works way better if you keep the rear calipers adjusted correctly and when its correct it'll bite much earlier, mine grabs about 1/3rd of the way up.

To adjust the rear calipers you need to remove the small bolt that hides the Allen Key adjusting bolt, its located on the back of the caliper and has a 12mm head if i remember right.
Once its out get a 4mm Allen Key stick the long end in the hole and screw it in all the way, then back it off a quarter of a turn and thats it, just put it back together again.

Handbreakies work much better if you use the foot brake in conjunction with the handbrake.

Funny, i dont havent had a problem with mine, even using it for Motorkhana's.. and it gets a good work out at them i've never adjusted it.. only wound it back in when i put new rear pads on...

it works really well... locks the tyres up on tarmac in the dry at 40-45 Kph.. no probs.. especially if i have a bit of steering lock on
