okay, ny na6 used to spin like a turbine, but we changed the timing belt last week and shes been (relatively) sluggish ever since.
i love my mechanics but they arent -5 experts, when i mentioned the advance they were under the impression that coz it was coil pack etc that they would be stuck with the factory adjustment.
how do they set it for 14'? i'll have no trouble getting them to do it - i'll just take a big stick up there, just need to know where its done...
sounds like a silly question, but its only silly if i dont know the answer...

Sounds like the mechanics that did my major service. Wondering why my NA6 was a bit sluggish ever since the major service, all new belts etc etc. Then read on the reciept that they had reset the timing back to normal....GARHH!!! and now lazy me one weekend has to advance it again...

I just did mine today, went out and got a timing light.. Takes about 10 min to do, fairly easy job. Notice that it picks up a little better now.. worth it

With 14 deg, can you still get away with 95 RON, or do you have to go 98?

i get just as far ona full tank of e10 as i do with ulp.
i havent seen or heard of any detriment to the engine and the shell optimax extreme is just optimax with 5% ethanol added to it.
wouldnt use any shell fuels anymore, will only feed the racecar bp ultimate - guess they have no reason to water their fuel down with shopper dockets
