Clutch, again =/

After a month or 2 of smooth running, my clutch is again having issues refusing to release properly, and this time it seems worse

.
It sorta feels like a failed slave cylinder at first, but I find that pumping the clutch pedal actually
helps - seems to me like it's just not building enough pressure or something. Fluid levels have remained on max, btw.
So before I take this down to my friendly mechanic, does the brains trust here have any ideas on what the problem could be..?

Try bleeding the clutch hydraulics of air.

Always a lifesaver Garry

. Is air getting into the system something that just happens from time to time or should I be changing a part/clutch fluid to stop it happening in the future?
And I knew I could count on you to rub it in maxwolfie

. My car ain't dodgy, it's got
character.

I know you said that the fluids are on the max but have you pulled the dust boot off the Slave Cylinder? If you find fluid in the dutst boot theres your problem . Sounds like the slave cylinder seal is letting Air inti the Hydrulic system. Bleeding the clutch may help the problem for a few weeks

I'm with brussell! Sounds like time for a slave cylinder kit. though perform his check to be sure, to be sure.

But he only just had it replaced a few weeks ago

Ahhh...replaced or did it just have a rebuild kit put through it?

It sounds like a hydraulic problem especially if pumping the pedal fixes it - slave or master cylinder.

Might check the Clutch Master Cylinder too
Stick head under dash and have a look at the firewall near the clutch pedal and see if there is any fluid leaking (a fluid leak will eat/strip the paint away and it can run down under the carpet causing rust )

Actually, the problem seemed to have cured itself the first time I experienced it a few months back, so I never got around to properly checking/replacing the slave cylinder. Looks like I'll be doing that now...
Unrequited love is a bitch, ain't it..?

Get your hydraulics looked at Rodent, you have a leak in there somewhere.
