So tempted to get a quad throttle bodies, anyone got them setup on their car?

once the fuel rails, ecu and throttle bodies are in place, is that it? doe it require mods like cams, pistons and stuff?

Firstly they're illegal and yes you really need to mod the engine to run them. Save your $$$ for a turbo kit instead or just upgrade to an NB8B for less $$$

A few weekends spent tuning a Honda S600 or S800 should cure you of that!




Honestly, why not add drum brakes all round and a column shift while you're at it.

yer mate it doesnt stop there, if you want real power then alot of internal has to be done. i wouldnt bother with a nb8b engine unless your going to turbo it as a standard nb8b doesnt really compare to a turboed 1.6.

i know they use the AE101 throttle bodies in jap racing from a toyota

Guys, having just fitted quads to my race car, I can assure you that they aren't that much harder to tune if you get your shafts synchronised properly during assembly Depending on which quads you use this can be easy or hard. Mine were simple. The throttle response is simply amazing. And as for rewiring, it's only changing the 4 wire TPS to a 3 wire TPS like a delco - about a 15 minute job. Even if you move the injectors into the runners, the standard loom is long enough so it's not that hard.

None - all on throttle position - no MAP at all. I have always questioned it but all the tuners who have tuned my car reckon it's the way to go with NA race engines. So far they seem to be pretty right.
