The stat's certainly add up for the SR ...
- 150rwkW with just a turbo back exhaust ...
- 200rwkW is quite easily obtained with the stock turbo and just bolt on mod's.
- 220rwkW (on stock internals) is just a pair of cams and a retune away ...
But then my engine died ... head rebuilt, new valves, new valve guides and then a whole new short block shipped out from Japan, all before it was two years old.
With Nissans, it's always the little anonymous widgets that let you down ... with my S15, it was every damn widget!!
If you really want (need?) turbo power, just sell your current MX5 and get an SE (not an SP), it will work out cheaper, more reliable and a better overall package EVERY single time.
