It is possible to put a renesis engine into your mx5,
But, you will need to mount the engine as low as possible in the bay due to the tall injection manifold, also you will need a custom crossmember, mounts, most probably need a custom sump and oil pickup.
then the engine has a fly by wire throttle and the only aftermarket computer capable of running it is a motec brand($$$$)
unless you have a factory computer thats been recalibrated with the differential sensor removed.
unless you got some big $$$$ and a lot of motivation it wont happen.
what about a 13b turbo? or an extend port? or even a tough j or peripheral port?? 8)
I have a complete conversion kit to suit a 13b/13bt but no ones man enough to do it.

unless you get an engineers report on the car,
no its not legal,
i have a 12at in mine which is very quiet with no bov and i have no dramas with police, it doesnt even get looks.
if you keep it quiet and be sensible it will be fine 8)
(my 2c)

Yes i have both mags with the 2jz and the 20b,
both cars have a tube frame front end, big $$$$ and even still with the v8 supercar radiator+additional reservior the 20b mx still ran really hot.
the front ends on these cars look quite ugly\any more rotary mx's?
perhaps someone could post their pics up?

No no :?
Its a mazda and therefore needs to have a rotary! 8) would be best suited to a s6 motor with a single turbo conversion,
that would be so smooth!

Yeah, but us Nissan boys like to have cars that spend more time on the road than off :P

Fuel isn't free either!

There are quire a few RX8 guys who have retrofitted a conventional TB with TPS and are running a variety of aftermarket ECUs.

Speaking of Chook Cookers.

I spotted THIS ARTICLE from the May 2003 Fast Fours Mag sitting on the coffee table at Wheelspin.
